Stephanie Varady

Stephanie Varady, age 80, of West Branch, passed away suddenly Friday, August 19, 2005. She had lived in West Branch since 1982. She was the beloved wife of the late Ted Varady. Mrs. Varady is survived by her children, Barbara (James) Rocco of Jackson, Jackie Wink (Thomas Skender) of Sterling Heights and Joanne (Shawn) Mahoney of Rockford, grandchildren, Lt. Commander James Rocco, U.S.C.G., Monica (Dennis) Lodise, Daniel Rocco (Mari Putt) Christopher Rocco, Sara (Christopher) Shields, Patrick and Aaron Mahoney and 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Ann Gavlinski of South Lyon, Barbara Washer of Brookport, IL and Angela (Art) Plewka of Holly, brothers, Steve Matievich of Deltona, FL, and William (Catherine) Matievich of Huntsville, AL. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 22, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Helen Catholic Church in St. Helen. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
