Steven Alan Mcdermand

Steven Alan McDermand, age 62, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2015 at the Horizon Senior Living in St. Helen, MI. He had lived in St. Helen for most of his life, but went to Fostoria, OH in 2013 to spend time with family. Steven was born to Virgil Barber and Carol (McDermand) Cox in Bay City, MI on July 31, 1952. He was a member of the American Legion Post #416 and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Steven enjoyed cooking and traveling.

Steven is survived by his daughters, Judena Pitts of Middletown, OH and Dorenda (Damon) McDermand-Conn of Uniontown, OH; grandchildren: Crystal (Jeffrey) Rupke, Phillip McDermand, Issac Craig, Judena Craig, ZackeryJay Pitts, Devalin McDermand, Haven Conn, and Abigail Conn; great grandchildren: Athena, Zella, Mason, Jace, Noah, and Aliah; mother, Carol Cox of St. Helen; and 1 brother and 6 sisters. He is preceded in death by his step father, Lewis Cox.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
