Vern M. Barnes

Mr. Barnes, age 69 of St. Helen, passed away at West Branch Regional Medical Center. He had lived in St. Helen for the past 14 years, formerly of Vassar. He enjoyed working outdoors and in his yard. He retired from General Motors after 28 years of service. Mr. Barnes is survived by his wife Genevieve of St. Helen, sons--Tracy (Jody) Barnes of Vassar and Barry (Sue) Barnes of Grawn, grandchildren--Jennifer (Charlie) Dymond, Christina Brown, Michaela Barnes and Kyle Barnes and a great-grandson Brandon Dymond. Also surviving are two brothers, Neil Barnes of Vassar and Clare (Pat) Barnes of Bath PA. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation at the St. Helen Community Baptist Church will begin on Tuesday September 14, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. until the time of the service at 4:00 P.M. Pastor Ken Peterson will officate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
