Wilbert "Bill" R. Sahrow

Wilbert “Bill” Raymond Sahrow, age 93, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, MI. Bill was born Tuesday, March 11, 1924 to Raymond and Martha (Hurttienne) Sahrow in Clinton Twp., MI. He had lived in St. Helen, MI since 1979 previously of Mt. Clemens, MI. Bill was a member of the St. Helen Catholic Church in St. Helen, MI; and member of the Knights of Columbus council 8390. He retired from Bundy Tubing after 38 years of service. He had many other jobs in his younger years working on his grandparents farm in Mt. Clemens, doing construction work, working for Mt. Clemens Pottery, and he even bartended at the Timbers Bar in Mt. Clemens in the 1940’s. Bill was hardworking, and loved his family.

Surviving family include his daughter Diana (Joe) Domzalski, of Swartz Creek; two grandchildren Terry (Sue) Domzalski, and Bill (Sandi) Domzalski. He has four wonderful great grandchildren Michael, Anthony, Darian, and Joey. Also surviving is a half-sister Bonnie Miller of Chesterfield Township. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bequita, sister Lillian Lutey, and a brother Alvin Sahrow.

Visitation for Bill will begin Monday, September, 25, 2017 from 3-9PM at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen. A Rosary/Vigil Service will be held Monday evening at 7:00PM. Bill’s Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 2:00PM at the St. Helen Catholic Church 737 N. St. Helen Road, St. Helen, MI 48656. Father Wayne Dziekan will officiate the Funeral Mass, and Sister Barbara Matievich, O.P. will conduct burial rights at the Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen, MI following Mass.
