William A. Redmond Jr.

William A. Redmond Jr., age 75, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 at his home in Alger, MI with his family by his side. He had lived in Alger since 2004, formerly from the Macomb County area. Bill was born to William and Wilamina (Woodburn) Redmond on October 28, 1939 in Leonardtown, MD. On May 4, 1963, he married Gertrude “Trudy” Mahinske at the St. Florian Church in Hamtramck, MI. Bill served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening, and feeding the birds.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Trudy Redmond of Alger; son, Scott Redmond of St. Clair, MI; sister, Regina Mattingly of Hollywood, MD; brothers, John Redmond and George Redmond both of Leonardtown, MD; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters in law, and brothers in law. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Alger Cemetery.
