William L. Zang

William L. Zang, age 88 of West Branch, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at his home. Bill had lived in West Branch since 1976, formerly of Detroit. Bill was a decorated WWII combat veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a life member of the VFW and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodcarving and wildlife. He retired from the Detroit Police Department after 25 years. Bill is survived by his wife Audrey Zang of West Branch, children; Carol Musich of Wheeler, Holly (Randy) Adkins of Hendersonville, TN, Allison (Robert) Alderton of Fremont, Dale (Tracey) Zang of Romeo and Bill (Gail) Zang of West Branch. 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and his sister, Marguerite Uehara of Fayetteville, NY also survive. He was preceded in death by a son David and his brother Arthur. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010 for the immediate family at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia.
