Alfred N. Thorne

Mr. Thorne, age 75 passed away at his home. He had lived in Rose City for all of his life. He enjoyed lumbering and horses. Survivors include his children--Dale Thorne of Whittemore, Terri White of Houston TX, Alfred Jr. (Karen) Thorne of West Branch and Michelle (Steven) Bassi, a granddaughter, Desire' Bassi, his brother William (Hermalene) Thorne of Hale and sisters, Viola Moorehouse and Mary Ann (Samuel) Zimmerman both of West Branch. He was preceded in death by a son Eldon Thorne, grandson William Slaterline and a brother Nelson Thorne. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren in West Branch will begin on Sunday September 12, 2004 from 3-8 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday at the Funeral Home. Pastor Leonard Brink will officate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
