Anthony Joseph Tropiano, passed away on May 30, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center in West Branch. Born on February 19, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York, to Cono Joseph and Emilia (Pecoraro) Tropiano, Anthony lived a life marked by commitment, service, and deep devotion to those he loved.

A veteran of the United States Army, Anthony honorably served his country from 1953 to 1955. Following his military service, he built a distinguished career in finance, ultimately retiring from Adrian State Bank. Though he pursued a successful professional path, Anthony’s proudest accomplishments were not measured by career milestones but rather by the time he spent surrounded by family.

He found great joy and relaxation in camping and enjoyed dividing his time between his homes in Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, and Jackson, Michigan. These retreats were places where he could indulge his love of nature and create lasting memories with loved ones.

Anthony was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores Margaret (Michael) Tropiano, parents Joseph (Cono) and Emilia (Pecoraro) Tropiano, and his siblings Ann English, Vito Tropiano, and Joseph Tropiano.

He is survived by a large, devoted family who will carry forward his legacy of love and dedication. His children—Carole Tropiano, Marie Karazim, Tina (Steve) Smidt, Joseph (Betsy) Tropiano, James Tropiano, Ann (Steve) Tropiano-Gray, Diane (Bill) Howland, Michael (Carrie-Lynn) Tropiano, Ricky (Tammy) Tropiano, and Anthony (Lisa) Tropiano—stand as a testament to the warmth and guidance he provided. Anthony also leaves behind his sister Emilie Tropiano of Dix Hills, New York, who shared many years of companionship with him.

His grandchildren—Michael, Jacob (Skyler), Anthony, Adam, Hannah (Meagan), Kelsey, Jonah, Emilia, Stephanie, Erica (Pat), Kyle (Camyrn), Ryan, Kayla (Chris), Nicolas (Megan), Nathaniel, Michael, Jen (Tony), Joshua, Franklin (Molly), and Anthony "AJ" (Sandra)—and his great-grandchildren Aedon, Kayli (Dave), Dextin, Keegan, Alli, Kodi (Kailey), Kaitlynn, Christian, and Elsa were a great source of pride and joy to Anthony, reflecting the strength and continuity of his family bonds.

Anthony Joseph Tropiano’s life was one of steadfast dedication—to his country, his career, and above all, to his family. His memory will be cherished by those who knew him, and his spirit will endure in the hearts of his loved ones.
