Barbara Dobbs

Barbara “Barb” Dobbs, age 76, of Prescott, MI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at home with her family.

She was born on January 10, 1950, in Lapeer, MI.

Barb enjoyed being outside with the sun and fresh air, late night drives, fishing with her grandchildren, and talking for hours on the phone with her granddaughter. She was a warrior to her granddaughter, Ondrea, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with family when she could.

Barb is survived by her dearly, loved one Ron Calvary of 23 years. She was a proud mother to her daughters, Idabelle (Rick) LaFleur, Dorothy Dobbs, Terry Tear, and her two sons, Jeremy (Carol) Tear and Greg Tear. Also survived by Ron’s children, Crystal (Derek) Treat, Marc Calvary, and Ronnie Calvary. She enjoyed watching her family grow over the years with sharing so many memories with her grandchildren, AJ, Kyle, Ondrea, Arianna, Aaliyah, Hailey, Tyler, Megan, Emilliea, Lexi, Jordan, Brandon, Derek Jr., Sebastian, Kalea, and Calie, along with many great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Ozorowicz, father, Samuel Ozorowicz, brother Donald Ozorowicz, sister Candice Ozorowicz, and her beloved late husband Larry Dobbs.

Barb will always be remembered as a hardworking woman who loved hard and always made sure nobody went without. She will also be remembered for her kindness, supportiveness, caring, and loving big heart. She was a talker and made conversation and friends with everyone she came in contact with. She was always full of spunk, strong willed and full of life.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Whittemore Methodist Church, 110 North St. in Whittemore, MI. The funeral service will be held at the church on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Gary Gillings will officiate. The luncheon will follow the funeral service and then Barb’s burial will be held at the Mills Township Cemetery in Prescott at 2:30 p.m.
