Brenda Joyce Williamson

Brenda Joyce Williamson, née Coop, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland, Michigan. She was born on March 7, 1962, in Trenton, Michigan, and throughout her life, Brenda demonstrated remarkable strength, warmth, and compassion.

Brenda’s legacy is first and foremost her cherished family. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Nicole (Paul Benvin) Allred and Melynda (Bradley) Haase, and her loving son, James (Amanda) Allred Jr. Brenda was also the proud grandmother of Arianna Allred, Layla Benvin, Brooke Kangas, Trent Kangas, and Gage Kangas, and her great grandson George Denstedt Jr. She is also survived by her siblings, Lynnette (Steve) McElwain, Debra Dakin, Roxanne (Dale) Woelkers, and Robert Coop, as well as her fur baby, Shadow.

Brenda’s is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Beverley (Stangis) Coop, as well as her beloved husband, Robert Williamson Jr., and her granddaughter, Mahkailah Allred, who all welcomed her with open arms into eternal rest.

Brenda’s life was shaped by her love for her family and her delight in the simple pleasures of nature. She treasured being outdoors, where she found peace and happiness in camping and fishing, building memories that her loved ones will hold dear forever. She also enjoyed listening to music and playing games.

Among her proudest accomplishments was her deep resilience—Brenda was a two-time cancer survivor. Her courage in the face of adversity inspired not only her family but all who had the privilege of knowing her. She faced each challenge with strength, never allowing difficulty to diminish her generous spirit or her capacity to love.

Brenda Joyce Williamson is remembered for her legacy of love, strength, and kindness. Her memory will remain a guiding light, and the stories of her perseverance and warmth will be cherished for generations to come.

Cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled at this time.
