Carol Lee Scott, age 71, passed away peacefully at her home in West Branch, MI, surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 20, 2025. She was born on January 11, 1954, in Flint, MI to Leonard and Doris (Burt) Hofmann. Carol lived in West Branch since 1995, previously from Flint.

On June 5, 2000, Carol married Charles Scott in West Branch.

A proud graduate of Carman Ainsworth High School, Class of 1970, Carol dedicated herself to serving her community as an active member of the St. Helen Civic Center and the St. Helen VFW. Her passion for cooking was renowned; she was known as one of the best cooks you will ever come across, sharing her culinary talents with family and friends alike.

Carol had many interests that brought joy to her life. She enjoyed bowling in Flint, where she often gathered with friends and family, and she found great relaxation and fulfillment in fishing. These pursuits were integral to her social life and enriched the bonds she had with those around her. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Scott, and her children: son Oran (Kelly) Clark and daughter Bobbi (Bill) Dallas. Additionally, Carol cherished her step-sons, Chris and Casey Scott, her grandchildren David, Drew, Dougles, and Savannah Roop, Dakota, Fin, Daniel, Austin, and Bree Scott, along with nine great-grandchild. Carol was also surrounded by her loving brothers and sisters, Fred (Donna) Hofmann, Nancy Nordman, Darleen Laws, Lauren (Rick) Charles, and Leonard Hofmann. She held a special place in her heart for her bonus siblings, Kathy Erickson, Linda (Dennis) Smalley, Jim Brophy, Rita Brophy, William, Tim, and Mike Drueth, and Sandy Owen.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, sister Deneen Jackson; and her beloved nieces Holly Shetler and Tracey Powers and nephew David Nordman. Additionally, she mourned the loss of her son-in-law, Dave Roop, and her brothers-in-law, Greg Nordman and Rick Laws.

In honor of Carol Lee Scott’s life, a memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Homes - West Branch, located at 109 E Houghton Ave, West Branch, MI 48661.  Chaplain Karen Orban will officiate.
