Cathy Lee Snider

Cathy Lee Snider (née Eastman) was born on July 2, 1953, in West Branch, Michigan. On Monday, August 10, 2026, she passed away peacefully at her home in Prescott, Michigan, at the age of 73. She left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family, friends, and community. She lived a full life with a love for history and genealogy.

After graduating from Clio High School in 1971, Cathy embarked on a journey that would see her touch the lives of many.

Cathy’s life was marked by an unwavering commitment to her community. She was deeply involved with the Rose City Historical Society, where her hard work and passion for genealogy made a lasting difference in helping others connect with their roots and learn about the history of the Rose City area. Her contributions to the society remain a testament to her selflessness and enthusiasm for preserving local heritage.

Those who knew Cathy will fondly remember her for her love of cooking and spirit of adventure, especially during family road trips. Whether preparing a meal to bring everyone together or exploring new places on scenic drives, Cathy found joy in simple pleasures and shared it freely with those she loved.

Above all else, Cathy will be remembered for the warmth she extended to others and the strength she demonstrated throughout her life. Her legacy endures through her family, her work with the historical society, and the countless memories she created with friends and loved ones.

She is survived by her beloved husband Jake Snider; her son Michael Snider and daughter-in-law Lisa; her daughter Holly Garverick and son-in-law Todd; her treasured grandchildren Takoda, Jacob, Chayton, Josh (Maria), and Gabe; and her four surviving sisters. Her memory is also cherished by all whose lives she touched.

Cathy is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Doris (Thorn) Eastman.

Cathy Lee Snider’s life reflected grace, generosity, and indomitable spirit. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
