Charles’s journey began in Detroit, where he spent his childhood and completed his secondary education at Utica High School, graduating in 1965. His thirst for knowledge then took him to Northwest Missouri State University, where he earned a master’s degree in education in 1972. These early academic achievements laid the foundation for his long and impactful career.

Away from the classroom, Charles was a man of many passions. He greatly enjoyed the tranquility and adventure of fishing and hunting, often spending time in nature which brought him peace and camaraderie. Woodworking was another craft close to his heart, where his hands created lasting reminders of his patience and skill. These hobbies offered Charles both solace and opportunities to share moments with loved ones.

Charles was admired by all who knew him. His inviting kindness and heartfelt warmth left an indelible mark on the many lives he touched. He was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Connie Krueger; his son, James (Sherrie) Krueger; his daughter, Dianna Michael; his treasured grandchildren, Emily (Mitch) Bennett, David Teague, and Wyatt Krueger; and his great-grandchildren, Carter and Layla. Each of them carries forward the loving memories and values Charles imparted through his actions and words.
