Comer Lynn Romancky Sr.

Comer Lynn Romancky Sr., age 70, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in St. Helen, MI. He was born on October 22, 1955, in West Branch, MI to Robert and Dorothy (Bumbalough) Romancky. He lived in St. Helen for all of his life.

Comer built a life centered on work, service, and family. He graduated from Roscommon High School in 1974 and went on to become a general contractor for his family’s cement business, Romancky Brothers. Through the years, he also served his community as Richfield Township Supervisor during the 1980s for many years. In addition to that public service, he was the caretaker for Carter’s Cove in St. Helen, worked with St. Helen Monument, and was a runner for Specialized Pharmacy before he retired.

Outside of his work, Comer found great joy in the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting deer, rabbits, pheasants, and raccoons, and he especially loved his hunting dogs. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, a source of lasting pride and happiness throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Cynthia Romancky; his daughter, Jennifer Meadows, and Chad; his son, Comer “CJ” Romancky; along with his grandchildren Brandon (Brice), Devyn, Trenton, Cameron, and Camdon, and great-grandchild Declyn; his brother, Robert (Debbie) Romancky Jr., Johnny (JoAnn) Romancky, and Hallis (Troy) Romancky; his sister, Ellen (Chet) Butler; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be remembered with love by all who shared in his life and the many moments that meant so much to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his cousin, Jim Massey.

Comer will be remembered for his steady work ethic, his years of service to his community, his love of the outdoors, and the deep bond he shared with his family. His memory will remain close to the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled at this time.
