It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of David Jones, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, who passed away on November 6, 2026, at the age of 58.
Dave was born on May 1, 1968, in Mt. Clemens, MI, where he was raised and graduated from Utica Henry Ford II High School. His family later moved to West Branch, MI, where he met his wife, Terri, and where they raised their children, Jenna and Alex. He spent his entire life in the floor covering business, following in the footsteps of his grandfather and father. Through his work and example, he taught his family the value of hard work, both in words and actions, and worked tirelessly to provide for them until the day he left this earth.
He will be remembered for his quick wit, strong work ethic, deep sense of family and loyalty, and love of sports, which he demonstrated through his many years of coaching youth and high school teams. More recently, he had developed a deep passion for cornhole and was especially proud to have won two state championship titles in the sport.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Terri (Goldy) Jones; his daughter, Jenna (Dane) Moxlow; his son, Alexander (Brittany) Jones; and his grandchildren, Lincoln, Kennedy, Lainey, Callan, and Quincy. He is also survived by his mother, Debbie Jones; his brothers, Chris (Rachelle) Jones and Mike (Kathlene) Jones; his sister, Jaime Jones; his father and mother-in-law, Perry and Lynne Goldy; sister-in-law, Melinda (Pat) Laurie; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Jones, and his sister-in-law, Julie (Goldy) Hart. He also leaves behind a beloved close friend, André Sensky, who he loved and cared for like a son.
Per his wishes, no services will be held, and cremation will take place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Our family will carry his memory forward through the lessons, stories, laughter, and love he gave so generously. We encourage you to share your stories of Dave with us as we navigate our grief.
