Deatta Donna Shafranski, a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and friend, passed away at her home on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on April 26, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the beloved daughter of Raymond and Lorraine (Dumka) Shafranski, who have predeceased her.

Deatta was known for her infectious laughter and warm personality that could light up any room. She had a zest for life that was evident in her many hobbies and interests. An avid casino enthusiast, she found joy in games of chance and the thrill of the experience. Deatta had a keen eye for beauty and cherished her collection of jewelry, always on the lookout for unique pieces while shopping, antiquing, and thrifting.

Her love extended beyond her hobbies to her cherished furry companions. Deatta had a deep affection for her cats, Pixie, Myrna, Hunter, and Murray, who brought her endless joy and comfort.

She leaves behind her loving daughter, Krystyna Brusch, along with her devoted siblings: brother Gary (Roseanne) Shafranski, sister Peach Burpee, and brother Jeff (Pam) Shafranski. Deatta will be warmly remembered by her family and friends for her vibrant spirit and unwavering love. She is preceded in death by brother-in-law Harley Burpee.
