Denise Gaye Bodeker

Denise Gaye Bodeker, 59, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at her home in West Branch, MI surrounded by her family. She was born on March 31, 1964, in Gladwin, MI, to Frederick and Betty (Herlan) Trost. Denise was a kind and generous person, known for her warm heart and selflessness.

She lived in West Branch since 2000 formerly from Fort Campbell, KY, Fort Hood, TX and Fort Richardson, AK.

Denise served as a public canvasser for Ogemaw County for the County Elections. She was dedicated to her work and made a positive impact on her community.

Denise was a devoted Christian and worshipped at the Church of Christ of Gaylord. Her faith was an important part of her life, providing her with strength and guidance.

Outside of work and her religious activities, Denise enjoyed various hobbies. She had a passion for fishing, gardening, bird watching, and collecting different kinds of rocks and stones. She also dedicated her time to volunteering for the food distribution in Ogemaw County, demonstrating her commitment to helping others.

Denise is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Bodeker of West Branch, MI; her mother, Betty Trost of Gladwin; her sister, Susan (Trost) Yeager of Beaverton, MI; and her aunt, Karen (Art) of Omer, MI.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A Celebration of Life for Denise Bodeker will be held at a later date.

Denise Gaye Bodeker will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her kindness, generosity, and dedication will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
