Donald Alger Parent

Donald Alger Parent, affectionately known as Don, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at his home in West Branch, MI, at the age of 84. He was born in Center Line, MI on July 8, 1941, to Alger and Ruth (Danhauser) Parent.

Don graduated from Walled Lake Senior High School.

Don spent most of his life residing in Commerce Township, where he built a life filled with love and laughter. After retiring, he enjoyed his later years in West Branch.

Don is survived by his two sons, Donald (Jennifer) Parent Jr. and Robert Parent; his grandchildren, Jason Parent, Emily (Luis Diaz) Parent, and Abigail Parent, along with his great-granddaughter, Alycia. His sister, Nancy Duncan, survives him as well.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sharon, his daughter, Wendy, and his sisters, Betty Peasgood and Shirley Martin.

Cremation has taken place, and no service is scheduled at this time.
