He was born to John and Carlena (Armstrong) Gorte on March 4, 1955 in Saginaw, MI. Douglas enjoyed spending time fishing. Douglas is survived by his mother, Carlena Gorte of St. Helen; sister: Judy (Richard) Sian of St. Helen; and brother: John (Rosa) Gorte of St. Helen. He is preceded in death by his father.
