Earl William Watson, age 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Ascension Standish Hospital. Papa Earl, as he was known, was born on October 7, 1938 in Garden City to the late Ivo and Ethel (Klacking) Watson. Earl lived in Alger since 2006, formerly of Athem, AZ and Carleton, MI. He married Debra Saleski in Trenton, MI on June 23, 1970. Since his retirement from Fork-lift driving in 2001, he has enjoyed nature while fishing, riding his motorcycle and riding trails with Debi and his beloved dog Bella, by his side. Earl especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. His love for life and sense of humor will live on with each of them.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Debra Watson of Alger; beloved children Greg (Deborah) Watson of Tooele, UT; Kimberly (Duke) Mataele of UT, April (Joe) Bousamra of Farmington Hills and Tracy (Phillip) Carter of Lincoln Park; 10 adorned grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; cherished sister, Vivian Dockter of Clarksville, MI; many nieces and nephews and dearest sister in law, Robin Esposito of Scottsdale, AZ. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Victor Watson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
