Elaine Marie Hartwick, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in West Branch, Michigan, at the age of 85. Born on June 26, 1939, in Lake City, Michigan, Elaine was a vibrant soul whose warmth and kindness touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. She lived in Moran, MI for 23 years and Topinabee, MI for 18 years formerly of West Branch.  

Elaine dedicated a significant part of her life to serving others, retiring as a letter carrier from the U.S. Postal Service. Her work was not merely a job; it was a reflection of her deep commitment to her community. A cherished member of Topinabee Bible Church, she found great joy in her faith and the bonds formed there. Additionally, Elaine was an active participant in the Red Hat Society and the Women's Moose Lodge, where her spirited engagement and joyful presence left a lasting impact on her friends and fellow members.

Outside of her work and community involvement, Elaine had a passion for leisure activities that brought joy to her life. She enjoyed bowling and shooting pool, often sharing laughter and fun during these moments with friends and family.

She is survived by her siblings Gary Kaiser, Wesley Kaiser, and Nancy Kaiser, as well as her beloved nieces and nephews: Dave (Kathryn) Hotham, Jeff (Michelle) Parkinson, Jill Parkinson, Jamie (Shannon) Parkinson, and Laurie (Greg) Laundry. Moreover, she took immense pride in her extended family, which includes many great nieces and great nephews who will carry on her memory.

Elaine is now reunited in peace with her parents, Floyd and Vera (Perkins) Kaiser, her adoring husband Casper Hartwick, who predeceased her in 2004, her sisters Jan Hotham and Sandy Myers, and cherished nephews Doug Hotham and Gary Kaiser Jr.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral in West Branch will begin Monday, May 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m.  Rich Casanova will officiate. Burial will be at Burt Mullett Cemetery in Topinabee, MI next to her husband.

Memorial contributions can be made to Faith Alive Church in West Branch, MI.

While Elaine Hartwick has left this earth, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those she touched with her kindness and generosity. She will be lovingly remembered for her unwavering strength, her zest for life, and the love she so freely gave. As we reflect on her life, we celebrate the legacy she left behind—a true testament to a life well-lived.
