James Paul Clark Sr., passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at his home in West Branch, MI, at the age of 59. Born on February 20, 1966, in Sundance, Wyoming, James dedicated over 20 years of his life to the culinary arts, serving as a chef for several oil companies in Northern Alaska.
James later moved to Michigan, where he embraced the opportunity to be near his beloved sons and family. His warmth and generosity extended beyond his roles as a father. He was a constant support to his family, always ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
In addition to his unwavering dedication to his family, James had a zest for life that was evident in his hobbies and interests. He found great joy in fishing and cherished the time spent spoiling his many nieces and nephews, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.
James is survived by his two sons, James (Kelli) Clark Jr. and Andrew "AJ" (Ashley) Clark, along with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters and three brothers, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who were fortunate to experience his love and kindness.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Colleen Lux; father, Paul Clark; and beloved nephews, Patrick Cross and Edward Bowser.
James Paul Clark Sr. will be remembered for his infectious spirit, culinary talents, and profound love for his family.
Cremation has taken place.
