James D. Dearing

James D. Dearing, age 77 of West Branch, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw. Mr. Dearing had lived in the West Branch area for the past 17 years, formerly of Waterford and Lake Orion. He was employed by General Motors Truck and Bus in Pontiac for 40 years and was a member of St. Stephen of Hungary Catholic Church in Prescott. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. James is survived by his wife Patricia of West Branch, children Laura (Rev. Daniel) Millward of Traverse City, Cheryl (Kenneth) Trosen of White Lake, David (Keri) Dearing of Clarkston, Jean (Jack) Smith of Waterford and Jeff (Margie) Dearing of Lapeer, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a great-grandson Little Joey Millward, his parents Dewey Dearing and Myrtle Kimmel and three brothers, Carl, Bob and Jack Dearing. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy with a Graveside Service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2011. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ogemaw County Humane Society.
