Jeanne Annette Barger, née Watson, passed away on October 11, 2026, in East Tawas, Michigan at the age of 83. She was born on May 13, 1943, in Fort Bragg, California to Harold and Inez (Berritinni) Watson. Jeanne lived in East Tawas for the past 8 years, formerly of Las Vegas, NV.

Jeanne lived a life shaped by hard work, family, and the simple joys that brought her happiness. She worked in the casinos in Las Vegas and Laughlin, NV, where she served as a waitress, a 21 dealer, and later as a Pit Boss. She brought dedication and strength to her work, and she will be remembered for the many roles she filled throughout her life.

Outside of work, Jeanne found pleasure in the things that made a house feel like home and holidays feel especially bright. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, gardening, road trips, and cooking. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she delighted in collecting nutcrackers and roosters. Her favorite color was red, a cheerful detail that reflected the warmth and spirit she carried with her.

Above all, Jeanne’s pride and joy were her grandchildren. Family was at the center of her life, and her love for them was one of her greatest gifts.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly Konys, Tammy (Jon Howerton) Jameson, and Palmer (Sherri) Bagwell Jr. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Nicole (Ryan McKee) Jameson, Samantha (Steven) Rodriguez, Amanda (Chris Young) Jameson, Robert (Vanessa) Johnston, Angela Bagwell, Ashley Bagwell, Amber (Tim)Julick, and Joshua (Megan) Therien. Jeanne cherished her 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Her memory will continue to live on in their hearts and in the many moments they shared with her.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Tracy Barger; her daughter, Angela Bagwell; her father, Harold Watson; her mother, Inez Berritinni Watson; and her brothers, Vern Watson and Jim Watson.

She will be remembered with love for her devotion to her family, her enjoyment of life’s comforts and celebrations, and the lasting care she gave to those closest to her. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
