John D. Millard

John D. Millard, age 72 of St. Helen, passed away Thursday January 14, 2010 at his home. John had lived in St. Helen for the past 10 years formerly of Pontiac. He retired from General Motors after 21 years of service. John helped build the Mackinaw Bridge and he enjoyed working on cars, tinkering and woodworking. John is survived by his wife Millie of St. Helen. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2010 until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Lonnie Severence will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, West Branch.
