Julie Ann Demerest-Kimball

Julie Ann Demerest Kimball, age 62, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2010, at West Branch Regional Medical Center in West Branch, Michigan. She was born in West Branch on July 7, 1946, to Clifton J. Demerest and Lois Marie Demerest, the youngest of four children.

Julie was a lifelong resident of West Branch, Michigan, and a proud graduate of West Branch High School in 1965.

Following her graduation, Julie attended Bayshire Beauty Academy in Bay City, Michigan, where she pursued her interest in cosmetology and became a licensed cosmetologist. Through her work, she shared not only her skill and professionalism, but also her natural ability to make others feel welcome and cared for. Her career reflected her thoughtful nature and her desire to help others look and feel their best.

On September 10, 1966, she married Gregory A. Kimball Sr. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. She later divorced in July 1980.

Above all else, Julie treasured her family. Her family meant everything to her, and she devoted herself fully to the role of mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Kerrie Lynn Kimball, her son, Gregory A. Kimball Jr., granddaughter, Aleia Wright, and grandson, Dennis Wright.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Lois, whom she held dear throughout her life.

Julie will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her laughter, and her kindness toward others. She had a way of making people feel at ease, and her loving nature left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her kindness was genuine, her smile was bright, and her laughter brought light to those around her. These qualities, along with her gentle and loving personality, will be sadly missed by family and friends alike.

Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will remain a source of comfort and remembrance for years to come.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Monday, May 31, 2010, from 2:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Branch.
