Katrina Ann Amerson

December 6, 1967 — February 11, 2022

Katrina Ann Amerson, age 54, passed away Friday morning, February 11, 2022 in West Branch, MI surrounded by her family. Katrina was born on December 6, 1967 in Flint, MI to Dan Lynn Boursaw, Sr., and Donnie Lea Campbell. She lived in West Branch until eight years old, when the family moved to Texas. She met her future husband, William “Bill” Amerson, while attending college at Brigham University in Provo, UT. They married on August 8, 1988 and were sealed for eternity in the Manti Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Bill and Katrina moved back to West Branch in 1990, after visiting for Christmas, and were in love with how it looked like “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Katrina in addition to raising her family, worked doing real estate, helping people buy homes who normally couldn’t. She loved to aid people with credit and financial counseling to better their lives. Katrina loved to build, whether it was renovating houses, building chicken coops, re-doing furniture, she did it all. She loved to be in the sunshine and get her hands in the garden’s dirt. She had a passion for learning and sharing her knowledge about gardens, chickens, the constitution, or God. She served faithfully in her church and loved to teach the children.

Katrina is survived by her husband, Bill; daughters, Ashley (Lindsay) Hall of Coleman, Moriah (Mark) Wampfler, and Savannah (Reece) Aeschliman, both of Midland; five grandchildren who she adored with all her heart; parents, Dan and Donnie Boursaw of West Branch; and brother, Dan (Joy) Boursaw Jr. of Fayetteville, NC and their five children.

Per Katrina’s wishes there will be no funeral and cremation has taken place.

The family will hold a small, private memorial in the spring.

Arrangements were handled by Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch, MI. www.steuernolmclaren.com
