Kenneth Michael Mikula

Kenneth Michael Mikula, known to many as Ken, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in West Branch, Michigan. He was born on May 27, 1957, in Saginaw, Michigan to Stephen and Catherine (Schulte) Mikula Jr.

Ken will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose life was centered on family, hard work, and the simple joys that brought him happiness. For 44 years, he owned M-33 Supply before retiring, a lasting testament to his dedication and commitment. Outside of work, he loved woodworking in his shop, where he spent many hours doing what he enjoyed. He also cherished time with his grandchildren and found special joy in being with them. Ken likewise loved spending time and going on trips with his best friends, Mike and Jim, creating memories that will be treasured.

Above all, Ken’s family was at the heart of his life. He is survived by his wife, Stacie Mikula, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage. He also leaves his children and their families: Tim and Kacey Mikula, Carley Schrems and Chris Sproul, and Matthew Mikula. His grandchildren, Alexandria Schrems, Ethan Mikula, Noah Schrems, and Faith Mikula, were a treasured part of his life and brought him great pride and happiness.

Ken is also survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jeri Sholtz, Roberta and Wayne Hasse, and Doris and Greg Craner, as well as his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene and Peggy Ruhl, and several nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many loved ones who will carry his memory forward with affection and gratitude.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Catherine Mikula, and by his sister, Gloria.

Ken’s life was marked by dedication to his work, love for his family, and enjoyment of the people closest to him. He will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Al Pillarelli will officiate.
