Lawrence Daniel Buzzie, passed away on October 3, 2026, at his home in Alger, Michigan. He was born on November 7, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, to Albert Anthony and Mildred Marie (Zanon) Buzzie.

Larry lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and a deep appreciation for simple pleasures. He was a gas station and party store owner, building his livelihood through steady effort and commitment. He also served his country with honor in the United States Navy for four years during the Cuban Missile Crisis as a Boatswain Mate, a role that reflected his sense of duty and service.

Beyond his work and military service, Larry found joy in the activities he loved most. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and gardening, interests that brought both satisfaction and many memorable times over the years. Whether outdoors, on the lanes, or tending to a garden, he embraced the things that made life meaningful to him.

Above all, Larry will be remembered by those who knew and loved him as a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Buzzie; his son, Larry Buzzie and his wife, Kelly; and his grandchildren, Angela Ndibe and her husband, Jay, Daniel Buzzie and his wife, Monica, Kimberly Buzzie, Kristin Buzzie, Kerri Collins and her husband, Michael, Katrina Buzzie, and 22 great-grandchildren. His family was an important part of his life, and his memory will continue to live on in the lives of those he loved so dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Buzzie; his mother, Mildred Buzzie; and his brother, Robert Buzzie.

A graveside service will be held on October 6, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Brookside Cemetery, Brookside Drive, West Branch, Michigan, with Pastor David Kurtz officiating. Military honors will follow.

Larry’s life was one of service, work, family, and enduring personal interests. He will be remembered with love and respect by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
