Leonard Duane Grezeszak

Leonard Duane Grezeszak, age 89, a proud and hard-working family man, was born on Thursday, November 7, 1935, in West Branch, Michigan. He dedicated his entire life to his career as a Milk Hauler and farmer, a testament to his commitment and work ethic. Leonard passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at his home in Rose City, MI , where he spent his life making lasting memories with his loved ones.

Leonard was not just a hard worker; he also had a loving and supportive family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Doris (Oakes) Grezeszak. He cherished his six children: Calvin (Lenn) Grezeszak, Jeffrey (Amber) Grezeszak, Susan (Doug) Wymer, Laura (Geoff) Edmonds, John (Sonya) Grezeszak, and Duane (Jennifer) Grezeszak. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, including Eve Davis, Ella Grezeszak, Leo Grezeszak, Brian Grezeszak, David Grezeszak, Lacey Hawley, Andy Grezeszak, Sara Rau, Theresa Zettle, Diane Lehman, Kyle Wymer, Ellen Edmonds, Charlotte Vorce, Emily Edmonds, Grace Owen, Fern Edmonds, Nathan Edmonds, Lydia Edmonds, Adeline Edmonds, Justine Morris, Jared Grezeszak, Jake Grezeszak, and Cassidy Grezeszak. Leonard leaves behind a total of 32 great-grandchildren, proudly anticipated the arrival of two more great-grandchildren. Leonard is also survived by his sister, Judy Walter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Wilma (Illig) Grezeszak, his sons Vern and Daniel "Hammer" Grezeszak and siblings: Lorraine Legarski, Cecelia Chapman, Barney Grezeszak, Chum Grezeszak, Earl Grezeszak, and Virgil Grezeszak.

Leonard enjoyed various hobbies and interests, including hunting, watching the Detroit Tigers and teasing his grandkids. He loved to watch the birds and swat flies, as he always had a fly swatter within reach. He was loved dearly and  will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Private family services will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Homes - West Branch. He will be buried at the Holy Family Cemetery in West Branch, MI.
