Louis Martin Whetstone

Louis Martin Whetstone, age 76, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at The Villages Regional Hospital in The Villages, FL. He was born on October 8, 1945 in Ferndale, MI to Nolan and Adell (Ferguson) Whetstone.

Lou lived in The Villages since 2014 formerly of St. Helen, MI. On July 31, 1965 he married Sandra Lindsey in Pontiac, MI. He worked for General Motors as a group leader and retired in 1994.

Lou enjoyed riding his motorcycles, going to the casino, driving his golf cart, being outdoors, hunting, and traveling. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Lou is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sandra Whetstone of The Villages, FL; daughter, Kristine (Danny) Greig of Midland, MI; son, Richard (Kim) Whetstone of Mt. Morris, MI; grandchildren, Michael, Ronnie, Danny D. Kristofer, and Grace; great grandchildren, Olivia, Riley, and Ryder; brother, Thomas (Wannita) Whetstone of Clarkston, MI; and sisters-in-law, Marsha (Jim) Krist and Claudia Lindsey.

He is preceded in death by his parents and in-laws.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen, MI. Pastor Ken Peterson will officiate.
