Marian M. (Margaret) Rowe

Marian Marguerite “Margaret” Rowe, age 85 passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 at Horizon Senior Living in St. Helen. Marian was born September 26, 1925 in Midland, the daughter of Charles and Grace (Hazzard) Gifford. She graduated from Midland High School in 1944 and married Robert Rowe on July 28, 1945 in Midland. He preceded her in death on September 23, 2010 after 65 years of marriage. Marion was employed by Midland Public Schools retiring after 20 years of service. She had lived in Gladwin since 1975. Marian is survived by her children, Kenneth (Marilyn) Rowe, Rex (Wendy) Rowe and Carol Stratman (Kenneth Collins), 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Leroy (Rosemary) Gifford of Midland and her sister in law, Reva Rowe of Midland. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. A private family Memorial Service has been held.
