Mark Edward Dodridge Sr., age 69, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, passed away at his home Monday, June 17, 2024. He was born in Portsmouth, OH on April 1, 1955, to Donald Edward Dodridge and Ruth Ann Irvin.

Throughout his life, Mark dedicated himself to his work and his community. He worked for Taylor Door for nearly two decades before becoming a turn key at the Ogemaw County Jail, where he served for 8 years until his well-deserved retirement.

Mark had a passion for hunting and fishing, which he enjoyed sharing with his family and friends. He also found joy in coaching football and baseball, instilling valuable lessons in the young athletes he mentored. Mark also enjoyed watching sports.

In addition to his professional accomplishments and hobbies, Mark was a devoted family man. He is survived by his children Crystal Dodridge, Mark (Kayla) Dodridge Jr., Rick (Amanda) Dodridge, stepsons Chad (Beth) Cole and Anthony (Rebecca) Betancourt, as well as nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who will always cherish his memory. Also surviving are brother Rick (Sherry) Dodridge, and sister Cheryl (Drew) Neff. Mark's presence in their lives will be deeply missed but forever treasured.

He is preceded in death by wife Anni Lynn Reichart Dodridge, father Donald Edward Dodridge, and mother Ruth Ann Irvin.

Mark Edward Dodridge Sr. will be remembered for his dedication to family, hard work ethic, passion for sports and the outdoors, and the positive impact he made on those around him. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

May he rest in peace knowing that he was loved and respected by many.

A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
