Martha Elizabeth Thorpe-Sporer

Martha Elizabeth Thorpe-Sporer, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at her home in Alger, MI. She was born on April 27, 1956 in Detroit, MI to Gerald and Violet (Daugherty) Thorpe.

She lived in Alger since 2018 formerly of Warren, MI. Marti married Gregg Sporer on June 28, 1991 in East Detroit, MI.

She enjoyed the solitude and beauty of being up north, camping and spending time with her children.

Marti is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Gregg Sporer of Center Line, MI; children, Suzanne (Lee) Schornak-Rogers of Ohio, Jessica Warren of Port Huron, MI, Matthew Warren of Clinton Twp., MI, John Sporer of Eastpointe, MI, Eric (Angelica) Sporer of Plymouth, MI, Trevor (Lauren) Sporer of Alaska, and Breeanne Sporer of Center Line, MI; grandchildren, Kyle, Bailey, MaKenna, Camryn, Blake, Noah, and Julian; great grandchildren, Willow and Brodie; sisters, Julie, Lynne, Legaysa, Jill, and Natalie; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Leasa and Gerry.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
