Mary Elizbeth Prowse

Mary Elizabeth Prowse, age 68, of St. Helen, MI passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. She was born on April 21, 1957, to Robert and Elizabeth "Betty" Timm in Bay City, MI. She has lived in St. Helen since 2006, previously residing in Sanilac County, MI.

Mary graduated from Bay City Central High School and attended Central Michigan University. She married Daryl Prowse on December 21, 2001.

Mary was retired and a full time “G” (grandmother). She enjoyed her yard and gardens, being on the lake with family, her fur babies, crafting and was an avid garage saler. She always had a smile for family and strangers alike.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Daryl Prowse; children, Jason (Amber) Schreur, Joshua (Heather) Schreur, Nichole (Johnnie) Angerbrandt, Bethany Greenman, Richard (Kellie) Prowse, and Robin (Matt) Kalbfleisch; grandchildren, Preston Schreur, Lucas Schreur, Riley Schreur, Jordian Schreur, Boston Angerbrandt, Kenly Schreur, Kellon Schreur, Mary Winbush, Bali Winbush, Kevin (Lisa) Kalbfleisch, Derek (Saige) Kalbfleisch, Christian Prowse, Katelin Mutart, and Brandon Prowse; great grandchildren, Allison Kalbfleisch, Kylie Kalbfleisch, Hadley Kalbfleisch, and Julia Prowse. She is also survived by her siblings, Connie (Dan) Mohr, Robert Timm, Shirley Bell, Chris (Beverly) Timm, and Carol (Gerald) Holyszko, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Francine Newsham, and her grandson Jason Kalbfleisch.

A memorial visitation will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a memorial sharing time at 4:00 p.m.
