Mary Cecelia Publow, age 89, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at The Brook in West Branch, Michigan. Born on November 1, 1936, in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania to Daniel George and Ada Vie (Richards) Jerore. Mary lived a life filled with devotion, creativity, and love.
Mary married Charles E. Publow in 1956 and lived in the countryside of Rhodes, MI where they built a family home.
Her journey of faith began in 1977 when she gave her life to Jesus Christ, a commitment that shaped her days and brought deep meaning to her soul. She attended the United Methodist Church in Pinconning, Michigan, where she found joy through participating in the choir and sharing special music. Her voice was not only a source of worship but also a reflection of her tender spirit and her generous heart.
Mary’s passion was painting. She was an avid artist, pouring her heart into painting nature’s beauty—majestic mountains, tranquil waters, and serene landscapes captured with the gentle strokes of her brush.
Adventure and companionship were also central to Mary’s life. She loved fishing with her husband, Chuck, exploring the many lakes of Canada, and traveling across the country. These moments of wonder and connection painted the backdrop of a life well-lived, filled with laughter, discovery, and shared memories.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother to many. She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Daniel) Lincoln, Marie O'Laughlin, Kenneth (Brenda McQuarter) Publow, and Frances (Gerald) White; grandchildren, Daniel (Diane Warczynski) Lincoln, Nicholas Lincoln, Rebecca (Andrew) Metevia, Beth Lincoln, Mitchell (Heather) O'Laughlin, Kent (Jodi Rundell) Publow, Brendan Publow, Natasha (James) Bouchillon, Jerry White Jr. and Joseph White; great grandchildren, Donald Lincoln, Paige (Lonnie Lowe) Lincoln, Nathan, Nicholas, Noah, Nehemiah, and Novaleigh Metevia, Carson O'Laughlin, Donovan and Ashton Wescoat, Adeleine and Gabrielle Bouchillon and Emma Jacobson; great great grandchildren, Leo Lincoln and Clementine Lowe; sister, Louise (Peter) Liehr; brother, Robert Jerore; sister in law, Deb (Paul) Kelly; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Chuck, grandson, Randy James Ervin, and son in law, Kevin O'Laughlin.
No funeral service will be held.
She will be greatly missed.
