Melvin Ray Gillette, 73, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2007 in Azle, Texas. Funeral: 11am, Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home, Rose City, MI. Visitation will begin on Friday, December 21, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. Melvin was born in Rose City and farmed in Michigan for several years. He relocated to the Fort Worth, Texas area in 1985 to become a general construction contractor. His true passions all surrounded God and family. Survivors: Wife of 27 years, Darlene, daughters Kimberly Burns & husband Jerry (Gowen, MI), Sarah Padgett & husband Denny(Greenville, MI), son, Gary & wife Stephanie (Southlake, TX), stepchildren Kenneth, Gerald, Ronald & Sandra Spurbeck, Rhonda Campbell, sister Donna Groulx & husband Ron (Linwood, MI), sister-in-law Barbara Gillette, grandchildren Anna Gerheiser, Alicia Mansel, Jayson Burns, Greyson Gillette, Mackenzie Gillette & Zoey Padgett and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Melvin was predeceased by his parents, Myron & Ione Gillette and his brother Mike Gillette.
