Mr. Arntz, age 73 of Rose City passed away at his home. Mr. Arntz was born June 2, 1929 in Rose City, Michigan. He married Deda Teeples on July 24, 1954 in West Branch. They lived in Flint for 34 years before moving back to Rose City. Mr. Arntz served in the Korean Was and worked at Buick Motors in Flint for 36 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of New Hope Southern Baptist Church in Rose City and a member of the VFW Post #6468 in Rose City. Survivors include his wife Deda of Rose City, children--Charles (Louise) Arntz of Swartz Creek, Cheryl Chapman of Rose City and Calvin (Lisa) Arntz of Clio. 5 grandchildren--Jody (James) Phillips of Florida, Adam Arntz of Swartz Creek, Ryan Chapman of Rose City, Nicholas Arntz of Clio, Sabrina of Clio and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are sisters, Iva (Jerry) Kiaser of Lupton, Eva Miller and Donna (Jerry) Lacosse both of Rose City, brothers--Sylvester (Delores) Teeples, John Teeples both of Rose City, Donald Teeples of Lupton and Daniel (Lucile) Teeples of Adrian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manley and Hazel Arntz and a brother Louis Arntz. Visitation will be on Monday March 3, 2003 at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City from 2-9 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral Home. Pastor Steve Harmon will officiate with burial following at Rose Township Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch.
