Patricia Lou Young, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Horizon Senior Living in West Branch, MI, at the age of 91. She was born on August 19, 1934, in Bay City, MI. Patricia lived in St. Helen, MI for many years, formerly of Munger, MI.

On June 26, 1954, she married Thomas F. Young.

Patricia worked at Lear in Roscommon for many years before retiring in St. Helen.

Throughout her years, Patricia was admired for her sociable nature and her bright, welcoming personality. She had a knack for gathering people together, whether it was at a friendly game of cards with her sisters or in lively company at the casino tournament. Her fondness for casinos and playing bingo reflected her spirited approach to life and her love for fun competition.

Patricia’s appreciation for the world’s small wonders was evident in her affection for hummingbirds and blue birds, whose vibrant presence brought her joy and peace. She enjoyed hunting and fishing, where she would enjoy the surroundings of the outdoors. Patricia was happiest when surrounded by loved ones or immersed in the joys of her many hobbies.

Patricia is survived by her children: daughter Suzanne (Fredrick) Stein and son Brian Young. Her family continued to grow, and she took immense joy in the presence of his grandchildren: Thomas Stein, Marci (Scott) Mausolf, Ryan (Sherri) Stein, Tyler Young and Ozzy the Newfoundland. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Britney O'Neil, Miranda Hall, Briar Mullally, Myranda Stein, Hudson Stein, Brieana Mausolf, and Amelia Stein, as well as a great-great-grandmother to Shae Lynn O'Neil, Teddy O'Neil, and Cooper Mullally. along with many nieces and nephews who were touched by her warmth and kindness.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Young in 2025; her parents, Earl and Clara (Huskins) Tackman, her in-laws, Willard and Rose (Petricevic) Young, her granddaughter-in-law Heather Stein, and siblings, Earl Tackman, Joyce Bublitz, William Tackman, and Chuck Tackman.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her, a lasting testament to her warmth, humor, and social grace.

Cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled at this time.
