Paul Edward Engle Sr.

Paul Engle Sr, a devoted husband, loving father, and lifelong truck driver passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026, at the age of 88.

Born in Harlan County, Kentucky, Paul grew up with a work ethic forged early and a love for the open road that never left him. For decades, he drove trucks across the country. To Paul, trucking was not just a job — it was a calling.

Paul was known for his quiet strength and his determination. He was the kind of man who never complained even when life gave him reasons to. He was always there to help those who needed it.

Above all, Paul loved his family. He was a father who loved all his children and was married to the love of his life for 64 years, his wife Ann.

Paul is survived by his children Angela Wilson (Kurt), Wanda Engle, Paul Engle Jr (Kathleen) and Katherine White (Mark), and grandchildren he helped to raise; Jennifer Warneck (Keith), Rita Tarrence (Tony), Matthew White and Ronald Watson III. He is also survived by numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Carrie Beddoes (Rick). Paul is predeceased by wife Ann, parents Joseph and Maxine, brothers Homer and Brown, sisters Sue and Barbara, sister-in-law Rita, and grandson Steven.

A viewing will be held in honor of Paul’s life on Monday 9/21 at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home from 11-1 pm in St. Helen with a graveside service to follow at Pioneer Cemetery in Roscommon at 2 pm.
