Pauline Marie Sumner

Pauline M. Sumner of Port Huron, formerly of West Branch Area, died Saturday at Medilodge Nursing Home in St. Clair, Michigan. Pauline is survived by her 2 daughters; Geraldine (Donald) Smith of Smith Creek and Irene( Gordon) Wilke of St. Clair and a stepson Richard (Carolyn) Sumner of Canton, Mi. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Pauline also has 2 brothers; John (Hazel) Kartes, Robert (Margaret) Kartes and a sister Irene Schmidt all of West Branch. Pauline is preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Sumner, 2 sons, Fredrick and Doug Shappee, 5 sisters, 1 brother and a step grand-daughter. Pauline Sumner was a cook for the county of St. Clair and a member of St.Joseph Catholic Church of West Branch. The family will be receiving friends on Monday from 2:00P.M. to 4:00P.M. and 7:00P.M. to 9:00P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will held on Tuesday at 1:30P.M. from Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch with Fr. Miro Weise officiating. Internment will be in Brookside Cemetery.
