Robert (Bob) Hude, age 74, went to heaven on April 17, 2026, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was born June 10, 1951, in Gladwin, Michigan to Edwin and Leola Hude. Bob was preceded in death by his stepdaughter Christine Jackson, his stepson Michael Jackson, and sisters Rosemary Hude, Ruth Warren-Hude, Alma Dowis and Verna Hude.
Bob graduated from Gladwin High School, Class of 1969, where he played basketball and football. He retired from Dow Chemical in Midland. Bob loved many things, including the Michigan great outdoors, fishing trips to Canada, camping, 4-wheeling, playing and coaching softball, golf, watching MSU sports, the Detroit Lions, and family gatherings and celebrations. He had a loving heart and made those around him feel special. He was very generous with his time, attention and love.
Bob is survived and loved by his wife of 35 years, Jerie Hude; children Nathan (Marilyn) Hude of Tonganoxie, KS; Daniel (Katharine) Hude of East Lansing, MI; grandsons Dillon Hude and Maxwell Hude; sister Marilyn (Robert) Most of Cedar Springs, MI; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and his adored dogs, Lucy and Lucky.
Bob's greatest joy was his family, relatives and good friends. Bob will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life service and luncheon to honor Bob will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 751 M-18, Gladwin, MI 48624, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
