Robert Lynn Hamilton

Robert Lynn Hamilton, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at The Villa at West Branch. He was born on December 29, 1935 in West Branch to Lynn and Lena (Schwerin) Hamilton. Robert had lived in West Branch for the majority of his life and he served in the US Army. Robert worked in the woods, but was mostly remembered for working at West Branch Steel Company as a laborer and welder. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He married Betty Fogarasi on July 11, 1959. She preceded him in death in 1999.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Peggi (Frank) Harrington of West Branch and Robin (Ronnie) Nelson II of Alger; grandchildren, Steven (Jacky) Harrington, William (Elizabeth) Harrington, Ronnie Nelson III and JoLena Nelson; great grandchildren, Troy, Nataleigh, Nathanyal and Norah Harrington; siblings, MaryLou Cornman, Joyce (Keith) Brindley, Jerry Hamilton and Janet Conrad; lady friend, Eleanor Peterson; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Edwards Township Cemetery. High Priest Richard Hamilton will officiate.
