Robert T. Rideout

Robert T. Rideout, age 86 of Roscommon, passed away Tuesday September 16, 2008 at the Masonic Pathway in Alma. He had lived in Roscommon for most of his life and was a member and past Master of the Roscommon Masonic Lodge #364, F & AM. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Japan and was a manager for Michigan Bell Telephone for 40 years. He was an avid gardener and he loved pets. Robert is survived by his granddaughter, Laura Dei of Brighton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine, a daughter, Sheila Ann and a granddaughter, Kari Dei. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Friday, September 19, 2008 from 4-9 p.m with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Roscommon. Pastor Andrew Gookin will officiate with burial following at Gerrish Township Cemetery in Roscommon. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
