Ronald Axel Christensen

Ronald Axel Christensen, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center in West Branch, MI. He was born on June 21, 1944, to Axel and Dorothy (Kerbyson) Christensen in Sandusky, MI.
He married his love of 58 years, Dorothy A. Bucholtz on April 4, 1964.
Ron was a 25 year retired volunteer firefighter and EMT on the Kimball Township Fire Department. His career consisted of wholesale plumbing, heating, and electrical, retiring from Vic Bond Sales of West Branch, MI.
Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his many family members and close friends.
He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Christensen of West Branch; children Kathy Strauch of Marysville, MI, Tammy (Carl) Wickings of Smiths Creek, MI, and Tina Christensen of West Branch; grandchildren Aaron (RayLynn) Christensen, Alex Christensen, Samantha Christensen, Jennifer Wickings, Stephanie (Cody) Mollan, and Autumn Strauch; 12 great grandchildren; and brothers in law John (Diana) Bucholtz and Tom Bucholtz.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother in law Carolyn and Chuck Smith, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
