Ronald Lawrence DiDomenico July 14, 1950 – July 22, 2025
Ronald Lawrence DiDomenico, 75, of Gladwin, MI, passed through the gates of heaven on the evening of July 22, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Ron lived an active life filled with faith, service, and joy. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus in both Romeo and West Branch, always eager to lend a hand wherever he could. Whether it was through his work with the Boy Scouts, volunteering at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, or singing in the church choir, Ron's selflessness and quiet generosity left a lasting impact on his community.
Ron graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University and a master’s from the University of Michigan and worked for many years as an engineer at Chrysler, where his creative problem-solving and can-do spirit made him a trusted colleague and mentor. Never one to sit still, he loved spending time tinkering on many projects, restoring classic cars—especially his cherished '73 Dodge Charger—and flying model planes.
He embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. Ron loved being outdoors, boating, camping, going on cruises and adventures, playing cornhole (or really any games) at family gatherings, helping others, and sharing in laughter with whoever he was around. His love for life was matched only by his devotion to his family and faith.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah; his children, Michelle (Tommy) LeRoy, Brian DiDomenico, and Christine (Jon) Baginski; his two grandchildren, Ayden Young and Cole LeRoy; and his brothers Ralph (Mary) and Don (Connie), and sister Denise. Ron is also remembered by several nieces, nephews and cousins, who will carry his memory forward.
He will be remembered for his kindness, unwavering integrity, and the deep love he held for his family, friends, and God.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ron’s memory to the Knights of Columbus, Heartland Hospice (who took such good care of Ron in his final months), or the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit.
