Shelley Renae Holko, age 59, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center in West Branch, Michigan. Born on September 24, 1966, in Lakewood, California, Shelley lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a deep commitment to her community and family. She lived in the West Branch/Clear Lake area for the past 35 years, formerly of California.

Throughout her life, Shelley embraced multiple roles with grace and skill. She devoted 20 years as a volunteer at the Clear Lake Fire Department, exemplifying a spirit of service and bravery that touched many lives. In addition to her volunteer work, Shelley showcased her talents as a cook at the West Branch Country Club, where her culinary skills delighted members and guests. She also served as a clerk at the Towne Club in West Branch, becoming a familiar and friendly presence to those who frequented the establishment.

Shelley's passions extended beyond her professional life. She found great joy in birdwatching, a hobby that allowed her to connect with nature and enjoy quiet moments of reflection. Additionally, her trips to the Upper Peninsula (U.P.) brought her a sense of adventure and peace, enriching her appreciation for the natural beauty of Michigan.

Shelley is survived by her beloved husband, John Holko, with whom she shared a life of love and companionship. She leaves behind her daughters, Kristin Holko, Jenean (Sam) Labrecque, and Jazman (Mike) Day, and nephew, John Glover. Her family also includes cherished grandchildren: Tiffany Zeiser; Leilani, Landon, and Lorelai Labrecque; Dawson, Daxton, and Drew Day; and Ava, Levi, and Alyvia Glover, who brought immense joy to her. Shelley’s also survived by her sister Sherry, and her brother Billy.

Shelley was preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Arlene (Schultz) Glover and her brother, Buddy.

Those who knew Shelley remember her as a caring soul with a generous heart and a steadfast commitment to those she loved and served. Her legacy is one of warmth, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to community and family.

She will be laid to rest at the Damon Cemetery in West Branch, Michigan.
