Shirley Jean Emmons

Shirley Jean Emmons, who was born on July 22, 1934, in Laona, Wisconsin to James and Dorothy (Mullins) Jameson, passed away on May 13, 2026, in West Branch, Michigan.

She spent her entire life working hard and caring for the people and animals she held dear. Her life was shaped by resilience, kindness, and a deep commitment to family, and those who knew her will remember her for her gentle spirit, her honest nature, and the comfort she brought to others simply by being present.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harvey Emmons, in 2014. Their years together were filled with the shared joys and responsibilities of family life, and the bond they built remained an important part of Shirley's heart throughout her life. Shirley is survived by her sons, Frank Emmons, Duane Emmons and his wife Jan, and Harvey Emmons II and his wife Cecilia. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia, along with nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Her family was one of the greatest blessings in her life, and she took great pride in each generation that followed her. The love she gave to her family was steady and unconditional, and her presence will be cherished in the memories and stories they continue to share.
