Shirley Mae Lehman, age 83, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, at The Brook in West Branch, MI. She was born on December 29, 1940, in Yale, MI to Elroy and Elda (Martin) Henry. Shirley lived a life full of love, laughter, and to her family.
Shirley was a proud member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch, where she actively participated in her faith community. Her commitment to her beliefs strengthened the bonds she shared with those around her, embodying the values of kindness and generosity.
Shirley found great joy in baking, a talent she lovingly shared with family and friends. Traveling and going on cruises were passions that allowed her to explore new horizons while cherishing the moments spent with her family. Most dear to her heart were her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride.
Shirley is survived by her loving sons, Dan Lehman and James (Tiffany) Lehman and her cherished grandchildren, Alexandra, Nikita, Rachel, T.J., and Kourtney. She leaves behind siblings John (Nancy) Sheldon, Leon Sheldon, Leona (Alan) Hacker, Richard (Jenny) Sheldon, and Rochella (Norman) Davis, along with her sister-in-law, Virginia Henry. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband, Gerald, and her siblings, Howard Henry Clarence Henry, Marjorie Kern, Betty Lou Dickerson, Ethel Kaake, and Doris Seaton. They welcomed her into eternal rest with open arms, and their memories will forever be intertwined with hers.
Visitation will begin at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Monday, October 14, 2024, at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. Father Emmanuel Finbarr will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
