Steven Edward Dickhausen, 65, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at his home in Sterling, MI. He was born on August 18, 1958, in Vallejo, CA, to Edward and Dorothy (Robinson) Dickhausen. Steven lived in Sterling most of his life.


On February 18, 2000, he married Norma Bemis in Standish, MI.


Steven was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Germany. In his free time, he enjoyed walking the dogs, taking his grandchildren for rides in his side by side, and spending time sitting by the pond.


Steven will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Norma Dickhausen, his son Shawn (Rachel) Bemis, his daughter Katie (Brandon) Milligan, and his grandchildren Triston, Lukas, Lillian, Tyler, Caleb, and Ava. He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Dickhausen, and his sister Rita (Doug) Black, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his father, Edward and his brother, Tim Dickhausen.


A memorial service with military honors to celebrate Steven's life will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Alger United Methodist Church in Alger, MI. Pastor Cheryl Mancier will officiate.
